Antwerp's got talents, indeed

As strong and well-known as Central Saint Martins, Antwerp is a school which nurture and develop young talents in fine arts. To celebrate the 50th anniversary, the Antwerp six includes Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester, Dirk Bikkembergs, Marina Yee, Dirk Van Saene and Walter Van Beirendonck was brought back to be the members of the jury. The jugdes also included famous fashion critic Suzy Menkes, GQ style magazine editor Ben Reardon, founders of i-D magazine Terry and Tricia Jones...

With the special minds, aesthetics and masterful techniques, the young talents of Antwerp this year brought their spectacular collections to portrait their egos to the world. I would like to pick some pieces that i like most from show 2013 graduate.

Pierre Renaux
Collection: Liquidation Totale

The collection was completely divine! It remained me the spring summer 2007 collection of Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquiere. Pierre's futurism was completed by not only his own vision of outta space warrior but also the immaculatly tricky details which only made by the experienced hands. The fabric choices and combinations brought the feeling of softness and hardness, liquid and solid. No surprised that this collection won a lot of awards. I'd like to see more from him in the future cause if not, that would be a waste of talent.

Alexandra Helminger
Collection: Heimat

Mattia Vanseveren
Collection: Playtime

Alice Dupraz-Toulouse
Collection: Hi, kifak, ca va?

Dimitri Arvanitis
Collection: Crude

Lise Eerens
Collection: Rhinestone Cowboy
